More news on the Eolas vs Microsoft patent case… Eolas says it would settle over IE.

In response to newly revealed details of Microsoft’s potential plans to redesign its browser, Eolas founder Mike Doyle urged the software giant to leave Internet Explorer alone and pay his company a license fee instead.

Mr Doyle doesn’t sound like a very nice character. If this does force MS to make changes to IE, he’s surely going to be one of the most reviled people on the net. Have a look at some of the comments he makes to Robert Cringely in this "The Pulpit" article! Scary stuff indeed.
