a premise for ewan's corner

I really really like the premise for Anyone's Any. If I had a way with words, this is something I would be proud of writing. I think it summarises my (and what i assume is the general) reason for keeping a blog.
Reading online journals has helped me to be open to what other people have to say. I've learned a lot, just by being exposed to the cross section of humanity that is on display in these journals. Like most everything, it can be pretty banal. But can also be entertaining, inspirational and interesting. It can be anything.

When you read this journal--when you read any journal--keep in mind that there are a lot of people with something to offer you. I've come to believe that you can learn something from pretty much anyone who crosses your path.
And the rest is pretty obvious:
  • Writing is therapeutic for me. A physical diary is too much effort (and for the geek in me, not nearly as neat as a blog :-)
  • I want to keep a record of my life and myself in it, something I can look back at later. Sometimes I feel like life is zooming past me, and i'm missing or forgetting good bits. This is a way for me to capture some of that (Blogger, do you hear me - I hope you're backing me up regularly).
  • I have a way of expressing my gratitude to God for everything he has done, does and will do for me!
  • The Internet (and all the technology which bring it to life) fascinates me. Blogger (pyra!) is cool, and Google is amazing, and I want to be involved. I have to be lest i fall behind.
