The news is out! I'm going to be a dad

Today was the first ultrasound scan - it was a wonderful, amazing feeling to see the first pictures up on the screen, and the whole experience became truly real for me when i saw the little heart beating, and heard the thump-thump-thump filling the room (174 beats per minute no less!).

Praise God!

At 7 weeks 6 days old, the little one (he has a heartbeat - I can't call him a fetus - and it should be obvious i'm kinda hoping for a boy :-) is only 1.5 cm long (Clair insists on calling him "Prawn" for pretty obvious reasons).

Due date is the 16th of July - the day Apollo 11 launched from Earth. I'm so proud :-)

I suspect this blog is going to become far more baby-oriented.
