Caleb the Cute

I hope this isn't going to turn into a habit, but I'm finding it really hard to concentrate on work come Monday morning. Usually I really enjoy (most of) my job - it's not usually even considered work ("work" typically being something I don't enjoy doing)... but after this awesome (and long) weekend, I just want to be back with my wife and baby boy :-)

Being 30 is the same as being 29 so far. Apart from the mocking from my team at work... but that's expected :-) I also can't believe I'm now into my second year of married life - I can't imagine life without my wonderful Clair, she who changed my life totally, and all for good. Marriage totally, absolutely rocks - I'm going to look back on the here-and-now as one of the happiest times of my life. Yet another reason to blog it :)

I also think I've adjusted to Caleb now - or at least to his sleeping habits. Which means he's about to change them :-) Last night he woke at 3:30 and again at 6:30 (15 mins before I had to get up anyway, so that's ok). I usually wake up when he starts niggling, which only develops into full-scale crying if you ignore him (he's such a good little boy). His niggling consists of little "goo" sounds, grunts, sighs and sucking noises (if he's hungry) or mad waving of arms and legs (if he needs to be burped). Very, very cute... even if you're exhausted and grumpy.
"But God makes all the difference between cowards and Calebs" (Numbers 13:28, Amplified bible)
