finally - an interesting Seti candidate signal!

Mysterious signals from 1000 light years away - newscientist.com report. The signal is very odd - it seems to be coming from nowhere, doesn't look like the signature of any known astronomical phenomena, is frequency-drifting quickly, and every time we look it starts from the same start frequency. Popular opinion seems to be that it's not a "real" extraterrestrial signal - more likely a signal from the ground, a telescope artifact or even a hoax... but still very interesting :-)
