I mean really, how can anyone seriously entertain this nutter who wants one hundred and sixty million pounds (that's about 9 billion rubles... seriously) in damages from NASA for potentially "upsetting the balance of the universe" (oh, and also for a "personal assault on her grandparents")?
Marina Bai says the Deep Impact probe - on schedule to observe a deliberate impact with comet Tempel 1 on July 4th this year - is a "terrorist act". Interfax says the Moscow City Court has upheld the lawsuit which is the truly insane part of this story (Astrologers making ridiculous statements are nothing new).
Some people are obviously on this earth with no purpose other than to entertain the rest of us :-) Seriously, my name (along with 560k others) is on a CD attached to the impactor craft... so I should counter-sue her for trying to spoil my geeky sense of accomplishment.

- From the Wikipedia astrology entry: "There is an obvious tendency, however, for astrology to be employed, like palmistry, as a means of imposing on the ignorant and credulous. The generally established belief of the scientific community is that astrology is either mere superstition or absolute imposture, and that its vogue is due either to willful deception or to fatuous, unscientific gullibility." - She's not the only nutter out there...
Well, this is truly nuts!!! What next!!!
