SitRep - baby week two

daniel-hi folksSleep deprivation and nappies - plenty of both. I don't deal very well with a serious lack of sleep - brings out my inner grumpy monster - but Clair is wonderful as usual, taking the brunt of the night work. Daniel is wonderful, he seems to have sorted out day and night (as in daytime is for waking, and nighttime for sleeping - where "sleeping" means for an hour or two at most) and is a relaxed, lazy and curious baby. He only cries when he is really upset - and gives us plenty of warning before he does. His little gurgles, cheeps and sighs are adorable. Caleb is great too - he wants to help us change his little brother's nappies, and is a real help now that he understands things like "Fetch me the baby bum cream please" :) Winter seems to have arrived with two cold fronts, which make waking up in the wee hours much harder (but the days make up for it - beautiful African deep blue skies, cool and crystal clear).

Happy birthday for yesterday my wonderful lady, I'm glad the children gave you a (relatively) good nights sleep. I love you.
