<gripe>It's been a fun past few days. Caleb has conjunctivitis (aka pink eye), Daniel spent 2 nights in hospital after an unexplained serious temperature, and Clair is down and feeling terrible with a nasty case of the Flu. I had to take two days leave during one of the busiest times ever at work, and to top it off the weather is insane (8 degrees outside, with a howling gale thrown in thanks to a huge cold front. There be snow on the mountains). I'm going back to work tomorrow for a break :-)</gripe>
There are upsides to having kids though, and they outweigh the downsides a million fold :)
On a separate note, apparently The Da Vinci Code movie sucks. I blame all the crazy hype pushing up expectations unrealistically... I liked the novel, but I didn't love it. I still don't understand Christians who get upset and all up in arms about the movie (maybe I would if I was Catholic ;-)... if you can't see that it's a work of fiction - like the book - you have bigger issues to deal with (and if the movie/book shakes your faith, it wasn't really a solid faith to start off with, now was it?).
"I’m very happy to believe that Jesus was married,” he said. “I know the Catholic Church has problems with gay people and I thought this would be absolute proof that Jesus was not gay." ---Sir Ian McKellen
You might find this page of user-reviews on the Da Vinci Code movie interesting: it's mostly half-good, half-bad at the moment, but you are of course welcome to post your own opinions on the matter :)

I have decided not to see the movie. The book was ok, a movie adaptation of an ok book can't be all that great. Looking forward to X-Men III... what a geek I am :P
