I finally have a broadband connection @ home, no more sipping the Internet through a straw... and just in time too, now I can watch NASA TV during today's STS-121 Discovery Shuttle Launch :-)
Launch time is 21h49 South African time (launch coverage starts at 16h00) - TV schedule is here (PDF).
They really do need to offer a Flash video streaming option. WMP is usable, but who wants to watch online video via QuickTime or RealPlayer? Not I. On a related note, the Flash 9 player is out... hats off to the ex-Macromedia people.
Ewan - GREAT to hear from you. Thanks for the photography comment. Japan was just so beautiful it was hard to take a bad photo! And I was a lone tourist while Dave was in conference talking about flies (kids @ home)so it was wonderful to be just a tourist person again.
I as you know now have adsl too. Which deal did you go for?
