And here with a flash.

Happy birthday to my favourite blogging software – this blog loves and appreciates you. Without MT, linking to the funniest Google Video clip i have ever seen would be far too much effort.

Far too cool not to link to. I only wish I had more time, and bandwidth. Nice one Felix.

http://gzone.jp/ is beautiful… and FlashForward 2006 has been announced :-) Feb 27th to March 2nd, and this time in Seattle, WA. It’s not SF, but still… it’s going to be amazing.

My first experience with a Mac Mini, and wow. It’s a beautiful piece of hardware, far smaller than I expected, brings new meaning to the term “plug and play”! OS X is great, takes some getting used to, but everything is usually where you’d expect to find it. Installing a VNC server was a piece of cake… now I can VNC from my XP machine to our Fedora box and Mac Mini :-) Also, anything you can SSH into, and get a tcsh, has to rock:

I think everything worth stating has already been said elsewhere… so this is just a link summary.

  1. Macromedia + Adobe (Mike Chambers) – well worth reading
  2. Adobe and Macromedia Agree on Acquisition (ASVGuy::SWFBlog)
  3. Macromedia and Adobe combining (Kevin Lynch)
  4. Adobe += Macromedia (Take a deep breath) (FlashGuru)
  5. Macrodobia (mezzoblue)
  6. Developers react to Adobe’s Macromedia buy and Adobe to buy Macromedia (CNet news.com)
  7. Macromedia to merge with Adobe (the Register)
  8. Adobe Buys Macromedia for $3.4B (Slashdot)

and of course the official Adobe FAQ (pdf).

Update: As usual, Jason has taken the time to summarise things nicely.
